Fine photographic prints are not only a joy to behold, but are an investment. I number and sign all prints 11x14 and larger. I create each print one at a time, and keep trying to improve the print. As a traditional darkroom printer increases his/her skill with a print the more they do it, so do I. As an image continues to sell, the cost for a print of that image increases thus increasing value of previous prints. This is like the model that Christopher Burkett uses.

While it is true that I could just "push the button and print" when I deem an image satisfactory, this is not the philosophy I take with crafting my prints. Rather, I take time before every "push of the button" to make sure I'm currently happy with the way an image will print and also to apply any newly learned techniques if appropriate.

I care about the quality of the print images I provide. The prints are printed by either myself or I utilize the printing services of Michael E. Gordon. I print color images on an HP DesignJet 130 on HP Premium Plus Photo Satin paper. Wilhelm Research has tested this ink/paper combination and rated it for 82 years when displayed in a frame under glass. Your image investment will last a lifetime of enjoyment with proper care. Black and white prints are printed using an Epson 3800 or by Michael Gordon. Prints larger than 16x20 are drum scanned using the services of Danny Burk for maximum sharpness and range of tone in the final print. Prints larger than 22x28 are printed by Photographic Works.

Every image is guaranteed against flaws and defects for the rated lifetime of the print. To that end, your print will not be made until ordered thereby maximizing its lifetime. Prints will be delivered in a protective plastic sleeve and packed either in a flat box or rolled in a tube. The utmost care will be taken to ensure no damage during shipping.

Extra Large Prints

While a daytime desk job keeps me busy, I'm still very active when it comes to making images. Contact me for your needs if you see a photograph similar to your needs. Odds are that I may have another from the area. I can also be hired for assignment for the southwest area. Contact me for a price quote and licensing.
